Seasons Greetings

I trust this finds you well and managing life’s juggling balls and spinning plates well enough
to prepare for a break and a space and place to rest, reflect and enjoy all that you have.

CHRISTMAS CLOSURE

Similar to last year,
we are going to close the doors for the festive period.

So the last session before Christmas
Friday 23rd -12pm: Fitness Fix

There is a Super Circuit Training Session on
Saturday December 31st at 9.30am

The next sessions will start in at the deep end with

A HIIT Class to start up your New Year
Wednesday 4th January 12pm and 6pm

I look forward to seeing you soon and often

By the way

It’s definitely OK to take a fitness break over Christmas

Christmas is all about indulgence.
And with indulgence, comes the guilt.

Torrents of guilt for having extra or sitting on the sofa for five straight hours.

It can be tempting to overcompensate for these indulgences wanting hitting it even harder in the gym or elsewhere in other ways.

But our relationship with fitness should not be built on guilt and repentance – it never makes for sustainable goals or a healthy mindset.

There needs to be a change in intention.

Positive energy is unequivocally more powerful than negative energy.

Set your fitness goals based on positive progress, rather than a negative sense of atonement, you’re much more likely to stick to them.

Christmas is a perfect time to push back against negative spirals and give your mind and body the break it needs.

Rest is criminally undervalued in modern society.

This period is an opportunity to re-introduce yourself to the concept of doing less or absolutely nothing, and recognise the benefits.

Sit on the sofa.
Watch all the movies.
Read that book you have not picked up this year.
Call someone you have failed to meet up with this year.
Eat all the leftovers.
Leave your trainers in the cupboard or slow down and just go for a casual walk.

Your body and mind will thank you.

We have all of next year to explore what your body can do
One session at a time. Each one is a lesson.
At the pace that is right for you.

Making a better body for life

Just working on being and becoming the best version of yourself

I look forward to supporting you in and out of the sessions,
anyway I can, or ways you ask for or suggest.

Enjoy your time

When we make our goal a priority,

we do whatever it takes to accomplish that goal.

We do all these things to work toward our goals without anybody recognising or realising.

We do it because that is what matters TO US.

For many of us, exercise training is our escape, our sanity and a place where we work not only on becoming strong physically, we are promoting our mental wellness.

Functional training helps provide you with the strength, stability, and mobility you need to thrive in your life and sports.

  • Listen to your body.

  • Train intuitively.

  • Respect your body.

  • Leave the highlight reels for the young cats.

  • Focus on personal progress and your own gains

If there is anything else I can do to support you,
within the classes or your training, please contact me.

Wishing you all the very best
Thank you once again for being part of the Riptide experience.
