The personal trainers at Riptide are dedicated to achieving your fitness goals. Your goal is our goal, when you achieve your results, so do we.

When joining Riptide we will firstly find out what you are looking to achieve and direct you to the relevant personal trainer. During a one to one consultation we will get to know you and assess your past and current physical condition including an optional body check. We will also consider your previous exercise history, your commitment to train and set up a relevant schedule to suit your needs. Then using this information provided together, we will set both your short and long term fitness goals and write a specific personal training plan. During your first session your personal trainer will explain your training programme, demonstrate and observe you performing each exercise and ensure you are comfortable.

With regular exercise programme updates available every 6 - 8 weeks, we are able to monitor your progress and make certain you meet your personal goals. There will also always be someone available at any time for fitness advice, making sure your technique is safe and effective, provide ideas for different exercises you could perform or even just a spot.

Each personal trainer at Riptide specialises in a specific area, from yoga, core exercises and stretching to pre and post natal exercises, rehabilitation and skating. At a small cost these personal trainers are available for one to one personal training sessions, great if you would like an extra push, motivation, support or if you need to fit in a great workout into your busy schedule with very specific results in mind.

Kat

Coming from a background of swimming and running, Kat is currently training for the 2010 Brighton Marathon. She specializes in Ante-post Natal exercise, Advanced Core, Strength and Conditioning, Sport specific training, Weight loss and Boxing.

Sam

Sam has an extensive sports background, chiefly football and bodybuilding. Since leaving football at 16 he has dedicated his life to the muscle building lifestyle, his 17 years of extensive knowledge are an invaluable resource to the gym. Specialising in muscle nutrition, muscular development and the counterbalance of sports yoga.

Net

Net has developed a deep passion for fitness and exercise development from a background in figure skating, Net now specialises in sports specific balance and core stability, circuit training, muscle building, fat loss and inline skating.

Jack

A qualified sports massage therapist specialising in injury rehabilitation and postural correction. Jack also specialises in assisted stretching and flexibility work, sport specific, strength and resistance training, cardio conditioning and weight loss.

Tahra

Tahra specialises in sports specific training, plyometric’s, core and flexibility training. Tahra has an extensive knowledge in gymnastics with more than ten years experience. She is also a nutritional advisor and studying Macrobiotics.
