Strength and toning
Training for strength and tone is a great way of boosting your metabolism and improving your general health. It does not mean bulky muscles – but it’s vital for people who want to be slim, trim and fit.
Muscles that are well conditioned and maintained will allow you to have that functional strength when it comes to general everyday living, helping you to perform daily activities such as; lifting, moving, pulling, opening, throwing and pushing things.
Strength training (sometimes called resistance training) is all about conditioning your muscles, making them leaner, tighter and functional.

to avoid muscle damage (by ‘doing’ lots of weight sets) and;
- Keep the volume of lifting low and work each muscle frequently
- Spend extra time doing ‘cardio’ (Heart and lungs, ie Treadmill) to burn off excess body fat
- Eat and drink well
